I have even tried to start in safe mode, un-installed, re-installed nothing. First, this is not the first time that Firefox has been updated. Thanks Wexx, if you can't view ANY Web sites, you DO have a firewall, and it is almost certainly blocking Firefox.
Also tried to install the old version still nothing. IE7 works fine, so I don't think it is the connection problem. A lot of firewalls are invisible, sneaky, and buggy.
