Readers are invited to write into the Evening Express paper and some letters appear in each day's Readers' Letters page. It has a long history in the North East of Scotland and was first published as a weekly title on 29 December 1747 when it was known as The Aberdeens Journal.
It continued to be published on a weekly basis for 128 years until August 1876. In November 1922 the paper was renamed The Aberdeen Press & Journal when its parent firm joined forces with the Free Press.
School news appears each Tuesday and Thursday in the Evening Express Aberdeen Newspaper.

Previous columnists for the Evening Express Aberdeen newspaper included former Miss UK and model Nicola Jolly, journalist Jonathan Lee and writer Susan Welsh.
They are based at Lang Stracht, Mastrick, Aberdeen and also produce the Press & Journal, Aberdeen Citizen and Scot-ads. DC Thomson & Co Ltd also produces the Beano comic and other newspapers such as The Courier, The Evening Telegraph, Sunday Post and the Weekly News.
